About this blog
Hi, my story, “I gradually became a vegetarian,” is in Articles at the top of this screen. Click on Cooking.

Welcome, vegetarians, vegans, raw foodists, their friends and the curious in Chicago’s Loop, its south and southwest sides and suburbs, or northwest Indiana. You don’t have to be alone or uninformed about South Chicagoland’s vegetarian treasures, whether they be educational or edible. Why you are vegetarian doesn’t matter. Nor does whether you prefer organic vegetables, oil or oil-free dishes or not. Your comfort in your choice is the reason for this blog.
If you are searching for vegetarian-friendly restaurants in your sector that offer several vegetarian dishes, this blog will help. If you want to learn more about vegetarianism or vegetarian recipes without traveling farther north than Chicago’s Loop, peruse this blog. If the restaurant has an online address, we’ll provide it. Search by sector or one of the other tabs at the top of the screen.
For alerts about nearby volunteer opportunities, special vegetarian summits and festivals, meet and eats and potlucks in your sector, business discounts or new programs, online courses and other resources, look here.
This blog is an extension of my free, monthly emailed newsletter of the same name that began July 2018 and ended with the June 2019 issue. Abbreviations and terminology are explained in the glossary. Lists will provide online addresses to check current locations and hours of operation.
